Welcome to the Lowcountry

 

Well, the gators must have liked the beautiful weather as much as we did, because they were out in droves today (okay, there were three).  In the top picture, one is sitting on the far right bank, one is sitting in the background to the right of the sewer things, and one is in the water near the sewer.  They were all on the bank when I went to get my camera, but the one had to cool off.  A few seconds later, his buddy did, too.  You can see them both in the water, in between the "do not harass the alligator" signs and the lazy one on the bank:). 

So, needless to say, it was not a, "Go throw rocks in the pond" day.
